>> What is OrganicVR?

By now most everyone has heard of virtual reality or VR for short. Many of you may have tried some type of VR simulator before. Most of them look something like the one in this picture. They consist of bulky helmets and sometimes gloves or another type of sensory input device. They are a nice idea in theory but often not very impressive in practice. They also often cost many thousands of dollars.

OrganicVR is changing all of that.

By combining 2D POV* video with the ingestion of a certain organic compound OrganicVR immerses you in 3 dimensional world of real people and real places. Not into a computer generated virtual world like traditional virtual reality systems.

No glasses, helmet or other special viewing equipment are required. The video will run on your computer screen without any modification and you will be completely immersed in it. You will even experience tactile sensation.

Yes this is for real.

OrganicVR technology is brand new. It was developed by magic and illusion inventor Steve Fearson. Mr. Fearson has created illusions for the likes of David Copperfield and is known for "pushing the envelope" when it comes to creating. This is his first offering to the world of virtual reality.

What is being offered here is the ultimate virtual reality. It is eons beyond anything currently available. This discovery represents a major leap forward in the race to create realistic VR. OrganicVR basically jumped straight accross the finish line.

If you are familiar with the movies "Strange Days" or "Being John Malkovich" then you have an idea what we are talking about. Those movies or again, "The Matrix" are the closest thing to compare this to. Like "Strange Days" you will live out a recorded experience. And as in "Being John Malkovich", you will can actually experience the feeling of being someone else. Certain recordings will make you feel like you are inhabiting the body of someone in the experience. You will feel like you literally ARE that person.

>> How does it work?

The ingestion of a potentiating herbal compound combined with properly directed sensory input alters the perception of the viewer in such a way that anything outside of the recorded experience disappears and the viewer feels him or herself traveling into the screen until finally you are totally immersed in the video world.

Whenever possible POV video is used to make the transition into the video realm as seamless and comfortable as possible. If you are laying on a beach in the experience and can see your feet in the video you will enter into that form and feel that the feet are yours. You will feel the breeze and ocean air on your feet and when the feet in the video move you will feel it. In fact you will feel that you moved them yourself! You may even find as you return from the video realm that you are in fact moving your real feet and the transition from video to reality was inperceptible.

>> How long does it last?

That depends on the experience you choose. The realism of the experience is so astonishing that the average person usually can take no more than a minute or two at a time. For instance, you may think that virtual skydiving may be a fun first experience. Please keep in mind that once the experience starts you will feel as if you really ARE skydiving. Not only is skydiving very scary but the transition from sitting in a comfortable chair to suddenly finding yourself free falling thousands of feet above the earth can be disconcerting to say the least.

The experience is rather short lived but just as in real life, the more extreme sports are best suited for extreme people. Remember.. This feels absolutely REAL.
